Detroit diamonds
An article about my cousin: Diamonds scatter the pavement of Detroit’s side streets, alleys and avenues. They scatter the dark ground and sparkle like stars on a blackened sky. They are a silent testament to the violence, cruelty and crime of the city. And Lindsay Satchell has spent hours collecting, cleaning, sifting and sorting the diamonds.
