Better Days

It seems life has a way of maintaining the balance… I have a new puppy. Is it cruel to forgo the mourning period? Well, if I didn’t take the puppy the owner was going to put them on the street – and trust me, in Jakarta that’d be a bad thing. He’s probably some kind of Terrier, jet black, pees everywhere, and only about 4 weeks old. I’ll post an image of him as soon as I get around toRead more

R.I.P. Kitten

It was a sad, sad day. Today I had to put my cat to sleep, and she was just a kitten. About two months ago, as I was walking out of work I saw a kitten near our security guard’s desk. The “opium” post has an image that isn’t displaying. I’ll post again once I fix the problem.Read more

Photography vs. Photoshopography

There’s a great discussion happening here based upon the Photoshop vs. pure photography argument. There’s been a debate for as long as I can remember over whether a photograph is considered a “work of art” strictly on the attributes of it’s own creation (composed entirely in camera via settings and available light), or if digital manipulation (Photoshop) is an acceptable tool in enhancing an image to where the artist originally envisioned it, AS the picture was taken. Interesting thoughts fromRead more

The Art of Living

Updates have been few and far between as Ive been involved with learning yoga and meditation through The Art of Living – after work taking up the majority of my free time. I feel like Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse. Ive never tried anything like this before, but can see that it could indeed be beneficial for those who apply it to their everyday lives. Ill admit that I approached with a bit of skepticism, but Ive been proven wrong.Read more
