Safe and Sound

I have now heard from all 7 of my friends who were near the area affected by the tsunami. Unfortunately that statement will not be heard by so many others.

I just returned from a week in Bali. I only took my camera with me twice – I guess I haven’t been in the mood lately. I’ll post what images I’ve taken soon. Once again, thank you for all your emails and comments.

that is good news, brandon. the entire region is in my thoughts, and especially indonesia as i was just there this past summer. i met some of the kindest people on the planet there and can only hope that they are all safe.

I really like that image. I assume you did it in Photoshop, but if you have time maybe you could outline how (and why) you did it that way.

This image was completely natural – no Photoshop. It is a reflection taken from a cove on the beach. There were coconuts floating in the water – and the sky was also reflecting from above.

The only reason it may confuse you, is because I turned it upside down.
