Here’s a question for you. How often do those of you who drop by this site view my flickr site as well?

If not too often, I’d prefer to start posting most of the images here on a regular basis, as many of my photos never make it to the blog to avoid redundancy. I also have tried to keep most of the photos on this blog on topic with Indonesia rather than posting my “other” types of photography. Would you prefer to see them on here as well or should I keep them separate and let flickr remain the “dumping ground” – remaining focused strictly on Indonesia with this blog?

  • yes, please post here too as i have your blog as a feed. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s a great point – I wasn’t even thinking about the RSS feed aspect of this.

  • Me, too — I get the RSS update. I look at both and don’t mind the redundancy, mainly because there are too many photos in Flickr to keep track of there, and I read the blog for further commentary, anyway. I think I’d go to both, regardless.

  • I visit both your blog and Flickr. Please keep posting on both, if it’s not too much trouble!

  • me three, i have ur blog on my bloglines, I rarely visit flickr unless there is an image linked to it ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I’ve subscribed to your feed to. I am a Flickr enthusiast, and suspect I could subscribe to your Flickr feed too, but I haven’t worked out how. For non-Indonesian pictures maybe you could just post the link to the new photos at Flickr in the blog. I use Flickr as a way of getting my stuff onto the net, and blogging it from there. So my site is full of kind of illustrative crap which is not really suited to display on Flickr.

  • I only look here via RSS. I don’t like Flikr (too complicated for me…).

By the way, how is SmugMug working so far? Have you been able to verify the quality of the actual prints? Any impressions? I’ll look to see if you commented about it in a previous post I missed.

  • My usual pathway to javajive is via RSS, so if you post your photos on the blog, it’s easier for me to enjoy ’em.

When I have the time, I go into the flickr site – but that is not something to do casually. Your work deserves attention, concentration.

jajajive is quite possibly the best photoblog out there. Please keep up the excellent work. Baiklah!

  • Well, I subscribe to both your flickr and javajive RSS feeds so I don’t miss out on any of your photos. But with your blog, there’s the added commentary that I find adds just that little bit more ‘value’ to your pictures.

Hope my opinion helps out in your decision. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I see both your Flickr and weblog photos, and don’t mind at all.

    Post more, by all means!

  • Post here. I find Flickr way to slow to load photos and rarely go back there, even though I am the admin for over a dozen groups based on Asia travel. Also, how is your Flickr Social group doing? Great idea on that one.

Wow – thanks for such prompt responses!

Instead of responding on here, I’ll answer in a post so that the RSS will pick it up.

  • Interesting composition!
