Dancing with Light

As you may have noticed I’ve been on a bit of a vacation – from the web, from writing, and from creativity. Call it a burnout, laziness, lack of motivation, blogger’s block, or just plain busy.

The images above represent a new beginning for some of my photographic goals – to break out of my self-created shell. I need new material, new approaches, and new results. I hope the latest work has shown a change in direction from my usual imagery.

On another note, I sold my car yesterday – for much less than I had hoped – but in the end I decided I didn’t want to deal with it any longer. You know you’ve got a hoopty ride when the guys at the car repair shop know your schedule after work. “Oh, mister, you going fitness ya!”. So, I’m off on a new adventure today to search for some new wheels – brand new. No more second-hand B.S. for me. This time I’ll shell out the big bucks for something that won’t envelop me with fear.

As I’ve mentioned before, my new fitness club (called “Celebrity Fitness” – surprisingly) is simply amazing. We have all modern equipment, ridiculous amounts of weight equipment and machines, and the glitz and glam that only Indonesians could put into a workout facility (I mean that in a good way). I’ve been spending about 5 days a week there and am loving it. I suddenly realized how much I’ve been slacking in my old gym, and hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

Those of you emailing me – wondering where I’ve been – I do apologize. Didn’t mean to leave you hanging! I’ll see what I can do to revitalize this poor site.
